FRIENDSHIP

Friendship: This two man, mid shot of two young females connotes friendship through body language, facial expression and position. Straight away we can see displayed on the two individuals face's, expressions of joy, happiness and warmth suggesting they are both comfortable to be so close next to one another. The fact that the shot is a mid shot brings the focus of the image closer to the audience, strengthening the conclusion that the two characters featured within the image are friends. The female on the left is positioned leaning her body in towards the other character, this suggests she is wanting to be close to her, further connoting a strong relationship between the two. Both characters are producing a direct gaze towards the audience as if they are having there photo taken, this again connotes their friendship as it is a stereotype amongst friends to have their photos taken together. Both characters hands are doing things to connote a positive atmosphere, in one hand both characters are holding a thumbs up. Things like happiness and goodness and connotations of the sign "thumbs up", due to the fact both females are holding this sign reflects their positive attitudes towards each other. In the other hand, both characters are holding one another reflecting on their close friendship.
