STRENGTH

Strength: In this high angle, mid shot we are presented with a young female as the focus of the image surrounded by trees. Strength is connoted in many ways throughout this image, one of those ways being the angle of the image. The high angle helps to inflict the impression of authority and power, making the character within the image appear powerful and strong. The mid shot brings the character closer to the audience making her seem bigger and therefore more strapping. The tress in the background also help to connote strength, as tress are often considered as strong and sturdy, standing tall and solid. Due to the high angle, the character almost appears to be a similar height to the trees giving her a similar connotations. The way her arms are positioned makes her seem as though she is trying to show off her muscle, the word muscle is an extremely well known connotation of the word strength and the two words are almost always repeated one after the other.
